Placeholder PNG Image Generator
Create and download a simple labeled PNG at custom dimensions in your browser. The generated placeholder is not a real photo.
This guide and page information are in English. Some controls inside the interactive tool currently appear in Turkish.
This tool processes its main input in your browser and does not send it to an external API. Fonts and interface assets may load from external providers.
Placeholder PNG Image Generator
This tool draws a simple dark PNG card with a border and your label on a browser Canvas. Use custom pixel dimensions to check the space an image will occupy before the final artwork or photo is ready.
Despite the route name, this tool does not connect to the Lorem Picsum photo catalog or select stock photos. It produces a basic testing graphic, not a finished product image. Large canvases can use substantial device memory.
When is it useful?
- Checking a layout slot before its final image has been delivered.
- Preparing a labeled placeholder PNG at a requested size.
How to use it
- Enter the target width and height in pixels.
- Edit the label shown in the middle of the card and create the image.
- Review and download the PNG, then replace it with the approved production artwork before launch.
Example
Input: 600 × 400 px; label: Product photo
Output: A 600 × 400 PNG placeholder card with the supplied label
Who is it for?
- Interface designers prototyping image slots
- Frontend developers checking image dimensions
- Teams preparing temporary layout assets
Privacy and limitations
The dimensions and label are drawn locally with Canvas; the tool does not call a photo API or download a real image. Very large canvas dimensions can consume device memory.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool use Lorem Picsum photos?
No. Despite the route name, the interface creates a plain Canvas graphic with a background, border and text label; it does not fetch a random photo.
What dimensions will the file have?
The PNG uses the pixel width and height you enter. Open the downloaded file to confirm its dimensions in your target workflow.
Can I use it as a finished product image?
No. It is a simple testing placeholder without a real photo, illustration or brand asset. Replace it before publishing the final design.
Are there image-size limits?
The interface limits each dimension and total canvas area. Large images can use significant memory or be rejected by the browser, so keep test dimensions reasonable.
