Frequently asked questions

Will enlarging an image add detail?

No. Enlargement resamples existing pixels and cannot restore information that was not in the source.

Why preserve aspect ratio?

Without it, an image can look stretched. Review ratio and crop settings in the preview.

Should I keep the original?

Yes. Resizing can reduce resolution, so retain a source copy.

Is my image sent to a server?

This tool resizes in the browser and does not upload the file to an API for processing.
